Problems specific to 1.0.x versions of Firefox

that is, 1.0-Alpha pre-releases thru 1.0.7 versions

  1. I saw the "Select a Profile" dialog box for the first time
    and couldn't use Default ...

  2. I have the latest version of Firefox and I keep getting
    an icon in the status bar telling me to update!
