1.5.x.x Problems that you may encounter
Let me start out by briefly explaining the new to 1.5 versioning ID system.
My understanding of this new system is that it was developed to help with updating Firefox 1.5 so that improvements can be made without breaking extensions and themes anymore than necessary.
1.5.x.x = indicates a Major version change
whereas
1.5.x.x = indicates a Minor version change
If the update can affect extensions and themes, that would be a major change and thus become a 1.5.x.x update.
If the upgrade doesn't affect portions of the browser that would affect extensions and themes, that would be a minor change and thus become a 1.5.x.x update.

differences between 1.0.x and 1.5.x.x versions in the Options dialog box
These differences can affect your ability to install extensions and themes in Firefox 1.5 after updating from 1.0.x versions.

I get a warning bar that says I have installation of software disabled.
I don't know what to do to fix it - instructions are here.
