Contents of a typical Profile folder

The contents of your Profile may vary slightly from this list due to the installation of certain extensions. For instance, the Spellbound extension will add a file called persdict.dat, which contains your 'personal dictionary'.

    Four folders:

    Purpose of the files:
  1. your Bookmarks file
  2. client certificate databases
  3. compatibility listing
  4. components listing
  5. component registration listing
  6. stored cookies
  7. Download Manager data
  8. defaults locations for some extensions
  9. encrypted - Autocomplete data for forms
  10. encrypted - URL visited history
  11. Cookie and Image permissions
  12. Security key database
  13. Saves user-defined window positions
  14. program generated file
  15. Search engine file
  16. Security module database
  17. encrypted - your website logins
  18. XPCOM typelib information catalog
  19. XUL fastload file; caches the user interface

You may also have a user.js file in your Profile folder, if you created one.
