Experimental Firefox Profile Tricks

Experimental: Please use these tricks with caution.
Since no two Firefox installations are ever truly identical, you may encounter problems that I haven't experienced.

  1. Cloning a Profile
    for using that 'Perfect Profile' with another installation of Firefox on the same PC or for using that 'Perfect Profile' on a 2nd PC

  2. Editing chrome.rdf file
    changing the path-to to compensate for a different location of your Profile

  3. Editing the profiles.ini file
    for adding the Profiles that you cloned to the Profile Manager dialog box

  4. running multiple Profiles and/or versions of Firefox simultaneously
    updated 10-04-05 to include a Batch File method
